Early Life and Career

Cave was raised in West London as the second of five children in a family of medical practitioners. Prior to pursuing acting, she was a competitive athlete, excelling in county-level swimming and national-level tennis before an injury altered her path. She studied illustration and animation at Kingston University in London while also developing an interest in performance art. In 2007, she made her screen acting debut in the television film Summerhill. Shortly thereafter, Cave won the role of Lavender Brown out of thousands of applicants for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), reprising the character in both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2010–2011).
